West Coast Brewing : Background
West Coast Brewing is a Japanese brewery located in Mochimune, in Shizuoka, Japan. West Coast Brewing is located in the coastal area of Yoso, in Suruga-ku, Shizuoka, in a new tourist facility that was renovated from a building that was previously used as a tuna processing plant, with the building being left unused for more than a decade since the traders withdrew in around 2005 due to the tightening of international tuna catch regulations. West Coast Brewing is made up of a team consisting of three brewers, Satoshi Niwa, the brewing manager, Cedric Mell, a French brewer, and Grant Scholler , an American brewer, and is owned by Derrek Buston, who is also owner for the bar TWELVE in Shizuoka city. Niwa-san joined West Coast Brewing in December 2018, with Cedric joining later on, and Grant joining in 2019. West Coast Brewing obtained their brewing license in July 2019 and since then, have been focussed on mainly making IPAs and the kind.

- West Coast All The Clouds – an 8.5% hazy double IPA brewed using Cashmere, Sultana, Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, and Motueka hops.
- West Coast Before Dawn – a 6.5% West Coast IPA brewed using Comet, El Dorado, and Simcoe.
- West Coast Black Market Trader – a 6% kettle sour brewed using sour cherries and pink guava as well as being dry hopped with Citra and Idaho 7.
- West Coast Buckle Up – a 9.5% Belgian triple IPA brewed using Citra, Eukanot, and Mosaic hops, and is then spiced using organic matcha and sichuan peppers.
- West Coast Dark Lab Series 02 – a 15% imperial stout brewed using coconut puree and also some coffee sourced from Creative Coffee Factory in Shizuoka.
- West Coast Fresh Powder – an 8.5% hazy double IPA brewed using Bruce, El Dorado, and Strata hops.
- West Coast Fruit Train – a 5.5% fruit sour brewed using organic yuzu and organic lemons.
- West Coast Full Hop Alchemist v7 – an 8% double IPA and is a continually evolving series of beers, with each new iteration either changing the hop bill around, or boosting the hops.
- West Coast Full Hop Alchemist v8 – an 8% double IPA brewed with El Dorado, Mosaic, and Southern Cross hops.
- West Coast Full Hop Alchemist V16 – an 8.5% hazy double IPA brewed using Sabro, Strata, and Sultana hops.
- West Coast Harmonic Dreams – an 8% West Coast Double IPA brewed with Idaho 7, Idaho 7 CRYO, Citra, Citra CRYO, and Strata.
- West Coast Hop & Escape – a 5% hoppy pilsner brewed using Citra and Mosaic, with a pilsner base for the style.
