Totopia Brewery : Background
Totopia Brewery was established in 2022, in Nagatuke, based in Aichi, Japan. You might not have heard of that city – not many people outside of Aichi have to be honest – but it’s just east of Nagoya city and easily accessible by local trains in the area. The brewery takes its name from words “toto” and “pia”, which refers to the area where the brewery was located in the past, and also because of the respect for the area, and not the infamous toilet seat company and ticket merchant. Since their inception, Totopia Brewery have been focussed on using locally sourced adjuncts where possible, such as fresh fruits and local botanicals, to add different flavours.

- Totopia Frogphobia – a 10.5% Belgian tripel has adjuncts in the form of cacao nibs, pistachio nuts, and also vanilla beans.
- Totopia Geniophobia – a 7.4% hazy IPA brewed using El Dorado, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin hops.
- Totopia Heliophobia – a 6.5% hazy IPA brewed using Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Talus hops.
- Totopia Kenophobia – a 7.9% hazy double IPA brewed using Citra Cryo, Citra, Nelson, and Galaxy hops.
- Totopia Neophobia – a 7.1% hazy IPA brewed using Galaxy and Strata hops both during the boil and in the dry hopping stages.
