Aura Brewing : The Bottom Line
While it’s too soon to review the beers at Aura Brewing – it had only been in operation for two months when I was there – I did enjoy my time at the brewpub. It’s a real community place, with it being nestled in the middle on nowhere; in between houses, and with the owner from the area. There’s a real sense of belonging here, from the names of the beers, to the staff being from the area. I’d happily come back again in a few months to write up about the beers.
Just be weary that that there’s no food on at Aura Brewing and there’s very limited English on the menu. However, there is some Wi-Fi available so you can use that to help you translate things.

Aura Brewing : Background
Aura Brewing opened its taproom on August 2, 2025 in the northern part, with it being located around a two minute walk from Fujisawa-Hommachi station on the Odakyu Enoshima Line. The owner has lived in Fujisawa for around 20 years and wanted to “shape something” in this area, so the brewery emerged from a desire to express the place of Fujisawa via craft beer.
Before it became a local brew pub, the shop was actually an old fishmongers, with the atypical blue awning hanging outside the front of the bar. This same awning is used to cover the small outside drinking area, and is pulled out not matter the weather – so this could be a nice little place in the summer.
Aura Brewing : Atmosphere & Interior
As you step inside the brewpub, it’s a light and airy place, in spite of the size of the place. There’s probably seating inside for around 10 people, with a few seats located at the bar, and tables around the place. As mentioned earlier, there is also a small drinking space outside that has space for four people, but it’s covered so you can enjoy it, no matter how wet outside it is. The whole place is non-smoking, has no table charge, and there is also some free Wi-Fi.

Aura Brewing : Beer & Tap Information
All of the beers at Aura Brewing are brewed in-house, with the brewery literally behind the bar. They have five taps of craft beer, with all of the names coming from the different districts of Fujisawa, from #1 to #13, and each district having a distinct style of beer on tap. The beers come in two sizes : half pint (266 ml) from ¥630 and pint from ¥1,100. There’s no happy hour, no beer flight, or all you can drink plan on at the bar; nor are there takeaway beers at the time of writing.
The beers that we had on the day were ok – as mentioned, the bar had only been opened for a few months on our visit. Yet they show some promise; if the brewer makes the effort to improve. The grisette was probably my favourite on the day – crisp, slightly bitter, and a touch of phenols going on.
Aura Brewing : Food & Menu Information
Nuts. That’s it. The menus are mostly in Japanese, with just a smidgen of English on the menu; however, the staff didn’t speak English but you could probably get away ordering a beer or two. The prices on the menu also include tax so there’s no surprises at the end of the night.
