Fukuoka Craft Good Old ESB : Appearance
Poured out a dark amber colour with a frothy off-white head that collapsed in on itself to a few bubbles around the edge of the glass. Slight haze to the beer as it was cold, but when it had warmed up, it was clear.
Fukuoka Craft Good Old ESB : Aroma
When chilled, Fukuoka Craft Good Old ESB had a nutty caramel aroma with some notes of mustiness for the hops. As it warms up, the malts become sweeter with a roasted tea-like aroma to the beer.
Fukuoka Craft Good Old ESB : Taste
Smooth nutty and caramel flavour permeates through drinking with it becoming bolder as the beer warms up. It ends with a roasted tea aftertaste that lingers and has a touch of yeast phenol present. It’s not an off-flavour, or enough to detract from the malt flavours, but it’s there.

A decent well made ESB that I would like to try on tap at some point. I’d love to try it from a handpump to see how the flavour is too.
