Novoru Warau : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Novoru Warau poured out a light golden colour with a definite haziness to the body, along with a thick white head on top that left some thick rings around the glass during drinking.
With only Citra and Mosaic hops being used in this beer, it was always going to be a full on citrus and tropical aroma bomb – and I wasn’t left disappointed. The citrus notes came in the form of lemon and grapefruit, while the tropical notes came in the form of pineapple and a touch of mango.
However, the body was a much bolder existence, with a large bitterness coming through screaming at the start, before letting off a little bit during drinking – though only just. The hops did bring some flavour to the beer though, with more of the citrus and tropical flavour cutting through the bitterness. As Novoru Warau warmed up, there was a touch of light malt sweetness supporting all of it, just enough to make me smile.
Novoru Warau : The Bottom Line
Novoru Warau put a slight smile on my face – it’s a solid made beer with some legs to it for sure.
