Break Edge Big Mouth : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste

Break Edge Big Mouth poured out a very hazy mustard yellow colour with a plump white head on top that left some thick streaks and rings around the edge of the glass.

It had a tropical forward nose with mango and pineapple being the two most prominent aromas coming off the beer in the beginning. As the beer warmed up, some light citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon developed, and paired off nicely against the sweet malt candied aroma. There were no off aromas from Break Edge Big Mouth either.

The beer started off with a distinct sharp bitter edge, which developed into the citrus and tropical notes that were found in the aroma. Combined with the candied malt flavour, this beer was full bodied and full flavoured. At 7%, there was a touch of alcohol heat noted during drinking, though not enough to be off putting. The hop flavours lingered into the aftertaste, with a sweet flavour present too.

Break Edge Big Mouth : The Bottom Line

A decent hazy IPA that is full bodied and full of flavour.
