Minoh Godfather 6, or Minoh Godfather 6 Rice Hop Ale, is a 6% rice beer from Minoh Beer, based in Osaka, Japan. It’s part of their Masaji Beer Project and as such, the recipe changes each year. This iteration of Minoh Godfather contains locally sourced rice and imported USA and NZ hops.
Minoh Godfather 6 Aroma and Taste
Minoh Godfather 6 pours out a hazy orange colour with a minimal amount of white head on top. The head faded fast into a few bubbles around the side of the glass. Minoh Godfather 6 had a distinct sake-like aroma to it along with some citrus notes of lemon and orange coming through.
The rice flavours were present throughout drinking, along with the lemony oranges flavours just lying underneath the surface. There was a slight crackery flavours from the malts and Minoh Godfather 6 finished off with a slight bitter lemon kick to it.

Minoh Godfather 6 was a missed effort – give me something like the Minoh Godfather 5 instead.
