As soon as one BeerFes finishes, you’ve got one more coming up with BeerFes Tokyo, at The Garden Hall in Yebisu Garden Place in Tokyo, best known for being the main location to drink Ebisu beers. It’s also the original and oldest BeerFes, having started out in 1998. Held over two days from Saturday 2nd June to Sunday 3rd June, it’s organised in the same way as other BeerFes events across Japan, such as BeerFes Yokohama.

There are two sessions on the Saturday, with the first from 11:30 to 15:00 and the second session from 16:00 to 19:30. The Sunday only has one session as some people have work on the Monday but it starts from 12:30 to 16:00. Last orders are 15-minutes before closing to give people a chance to tidy up and clear up the numerous broken glasses.

Tickets for Great Japan Beer Festival, Tokyo 2018 are ¥4,800 in advance until June 1st or ¥5,200 on the day which gives you a special tasting glass, which for the first 600 people through the door at each session is embossed with a special label, and also access to over 150 different beers. Tickets for two sessions can also be bought in advance at the measly sum of ¥8,400. Advance tickets are on sale until 3rd June.

How to Get to BeerFes Tokyo 2018

The closest station is JR Ebisu though the venue can also be reached from Tokyo Metro Ebisu station on the Hibiya line but it is a long way to walk. Yebisu Garden Place is well signposted so it shouldn’t be difficult to find.
