Baird Cool Breeze Pils Aroma and Taste
This is the first bottle of two Baird Cool Breeze Pils that I’ve drunk for BeerTengoku. The second was placed in my cellar and forgotten about for awhile, mainly because I was lazy and forgot to rotate the cellar around. Due to Baird Beers being bottle conditioned, it meant that it was a bottle bomb and produced a massive amount of frothy white head and a smidgen of actual beer into the glass. Not the most appealing of adverts for beer. This bottle was lively but nowhere near as the second and this is where the review comes from.
Baird Cool Breeze Pils poured out a hazy amber colour with a clean frothy white head on top, which clung to the side of the glass as the beer went down. It had a citrus aroma along with a sweetness from the malts, which were followed by a floral nose from the Saaz hops.
Baird Cool Breeze Pils was immediately crisp from the get go, and produced a crackery bite that was dry when the beer was served chilled. When Baird Cool Breeze Pils warmed up, the sweetness was more pronounced, as were the citrus and floral tones too. Overall though, the refreshing qualities of it were balanced against the sweetness to leave a clean slightly sweet and citrus flourish on the tongue.
Baird Cool Breeze Pils The Bottom Line
Baird Cool Breeze Pils is a very good pilsner that is worth hunting for in the summer months.
