Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi (Chiyoda / Tokyo)

Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi : The Bottom Line

I’m in two minds about Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi – I did enjoy the beers and food while I was there; but for some reason, I felt that it lacked any kind of atmosphere and felt a bit clinical in the end. That could be because of the area that the bar is located in is comparatively quiet on the weekend, what with the Marunouchi area being part of the central business area. I can imagine this place being much busier during the week. However, the prices were reasonable considering where the bar is, and the food was good too. The whole place is non-smoking and has free wifi.

Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi Inside

Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi : Background

Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi is the third in the chain of taprooms from Ise Kadoya, with the Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Yaesu and Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Shimbashi being the others at the time of writing. This branch opened in November 2024 in the Marunouchi Building, which underwent a massive redesign during the COVID-19 period.

The building itself is located on the west side of Tokyo station, and is found inside the trifecta of Tokyo station, Otemachi station, and Nijubashi-mae station, so it’s easily accessible from a number of directions.

Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi : Atmosphere & Interior

Located on the fifth floor of the Marunouchi Building, inside of Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi is light and airy, aided by the large windows, and with this being located on the side of the building. The extra light goes a long way in opening up the bar, though with the clinical feel of the decor, it does seem a tad sterile at times, which isn’t helped by the various shades of grey and cream colours around the bar.

Inside, there is space for around 80 people, located at various table combinations, with some counter seating available too. The whole place is non-smoking and there is also no table charge throughout the day. The bar itself had some wifi from the Marunouchi Building, which is handy for ordering food and drinks – more about that later.

Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi : Beer & Tap Information

If you’ve been to either of the other two Ise Kadoya Craft Beer bars listed above, then you’ll be at home at this branch as the menus are exactly the same. The bar has 13 taps on, with both year-round offerings, seasonals, and also some special limited beers. Like the Shimbashi branch, the beers come in two sizes: half (240 ml) from ¥880 and US pint (480 ml) from ¥1,320. There’s no happy hour or any beer flights on the menu – a shame really when there’s so much to choose from. The pours are pretty much standard with the Yaesu branch pours.

Ise Kadoya Craft Beer Marunouchi : Food & Menu Information

The food at this branch is mostly focussed around fish dishes, though there are smaller nibbles available, such as chips and eda-mame – perfect snacks for eating as you drink. The menus are in Japanese only, so you may need a Japanese reader with you as all the ordering is done via a web-browser link. There are a few vegetarian options on the menu, and all the prices include tax so there’s not surprise at the end of the drinking session.
