Hakuba Craft Tropical Snow is a 7% hazy IPA from Hakuba Craft, based in Hakuba, Nagano. It’s part of their bottled and draught lineup and is also available all-year round. It’s brewed using four different imported hops in the form of Chinook, El Dorado, Galaxy, and Mosaic.

Hakuba Craft Tropical Snow : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Oh how I wish I had started with this beer from Hakuba Craft instead of their awful Hakuba Craft Avalanche. Hakuba Craft Tropical Snow poured out a vibrant, but cloudy, orange colour with a plump white head on top that collapsed to a thin ring along the top of the beer.
The aroma was so much nicer than expected. I was honestly expecting something bad but this beer had a beautiful citrus and tropical aroma coming off it. Lemons and orange, combined with some mango and pineapple notes, were all brought together with a medium level of sweetness that just tied it nicely together.
The body wasn’t bitter at all but it was smooth and well balanced between the hoppy flavours and the medium sweetness from the malts. The cirus and tropical notes were evident throughout drinking and made it a really good beer to drink. As the beer warmed up, some more of the sweetness came through, but not in a cloying manner.
Hakuba Craft Tropical Snow : The Bottom Line
Hakuba Craft Tropical Snow is a decent Hazy IPA that I’d like to try on tap.
