Craft Bank Brewing : Background
Craft Bank Brewing is a microbrewery located in Fukuchiyama, in Kyoto. They have been in business since July 2022, when their operations began in an old bank, hence the name Craft Bank Brewing. Fukuchiyama City, where Craft Bank Brewing is located, is located in the Chutan region in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture, about 60 km northwest from the centre of Kyoto. In ancient times, it flourished as a castle town for Fukuchiyama Castle, and is known as a place connected to Akechi Mitsuhide.
Since taking over the old bank premises, Craft Bank Brewing have tried to use as much of the old architecture where possible, in keeping with the area. As such, the old bank vault is now used as a private room for groups of people, while much of the old internal framework has remained the same.
