Craft Bank Heist Gold : Background

Craft Bank Heist Gold is an 8% double IPA from Craft Bank Brewing, based in in Kyoto. It’s part of their canned and draught lineup and is apparently available all year-round. Craft Bank Heist Gold takes its inspiration from “the suspiciously shining gold nuggets in a robber’s hideout once they have robbed a bank”, which is based on the idea of Craft Bank Brewing being located in an old bank building. Craft Bank Heist Gold is brewed using El Dorado, Idaho 7, Saaz, and Simcoe hops.

Pineapple and mango, new style double IPA, with no dank notes nor anything from the classic double IPA of the early years. Medium sweetness with a slight alcohol heat to it as it warms up.

Craft Bank Heist Gold : Taste

Low bitterness to start but something comes through more as it warms up. Big tropical body to the beer with pineapple and mango, and a residual malt sweetness lying in the back. Smooth alcohol heat throughout drinking with a touch of phenolic body present as it warms up. Finishes sweet with tropical and malt noes.
