TDM 1874 The Whole World Window Aroma and Taste
TDM 1874 The Whole World Window poured out a relative clear golden yellow colour with a medium amount of frothy white head on top that left a few sticky bubbles down the side of the glass. The aroma was fresh and pungent – and it should have been as this can was less than a week old – who needs three month old imports when you have beers like this on your doorstep? TDM 1874 The Whole World Window had a pungent citrusy lemon and grapefruit aroma, with some light notes of mango and dankness to it, with all the flavours nicely balanced with one another. At 8.5%, there was just a touch of alcohol heat once it had warmed up that blended well with the frutiness of the beer. The malts just peeked through the hoppy flavours with a light dusting of sweetness but it was the hops that made the aroma of TDM 1874 The Whole World Window so nice.
TDM 1874 The Whole World Window starts off surprisingly smooth with a restrained bitterness that is present, but doesn’t overpower the taste buds. The flavours, from start to finish, were all about the hops – lashings of lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, and a dash of dankness lying in the background. The body was also on the drier side, with a low level of sweetness present in the beer. TDM 1874 The Whole World Window finished off with the lingering hoppiness in the beer, and just a little bit of long lasting, but smooth, bitterness.
TDM 1874 The Whole World Window The Bottom Line
TDM 1874 The Whole World Window is a top-notch double IPA that needs to be drunk.
