Craft Beer Market Awajicho The Bottom Line

If you’re in the area looking for a lunch time beer, then Craft Beer Market Awajicho is a decent choice but it’s closed at the weekends due to lack of business in the area, so remember that next time you think it’s open for a beer. If you’ve been to one Craft Beer Market bar, then you’ve pretty much been to all of them. Craft Beer Market Awajicho doesn’t stray too far from the tried and tested formula of cheap craft beer, served at varying degrees of wellness, with tax included. Also expect a table charge, sectionalised smoking area, prices inclusive of tax, but no WiFi and also an expensive all-you-can-drink plan.

Craft Beer Market Awajicho

Pretty much like every other Craft Beer Market it seems.

Craft Beer Market Awajicho Full Review

Craft Beer Market Awajicho is the third in the Craft Beer Market chain with ten bars at the time of writing. Without wanting to rehash much of the other reviews, it doesn’t differ too much from the other branches so this is going to be a much shorter review as I feel we’ve covered enough about them in other reviews.

Craft Beer Market Awajicho is only open during the week, with opening hours during lunch time, and also from 5pm; however, it is closed at the weekends and on national holidays – annoyingly enough as there isn’t much else in the area as cheap as Craft Beer Market Awajicho. There is space for more than 50 people, located at benches like the other Craft Beer Markets, and also about 10 seats dotted around at counters. Craft Beer Market Awajicho does have a ¥300 table charge and also a smoking booth located inside the bar, but I couldn’t smell any smoke on the day I went. However, there is no outside drinking area unlike Craft Beer Market Jimbocho Terrace.

Craft Beer Market Awajicho offers 30 taps of beer, with 3 of those being dedicated to domestic macro beers, and the other 27 being dedicated to both domestic and imported craft beer. Beers come in two sizes: glasses at 250ml for ¥480 and pints at 473ml for ¥780. Both prices include tax though the pourings do vary greatly – the bane of the Craft Beer Market chain. I prefer to ask for “awa nashi” or “no head” and tend to get served a minimal, but still noticeable, amount of beer. I didn’t notice any beer tasting sets on offer either. There wasn’t a happy hour either; however, there is special drinking plan on Monday and Tuesdays for ¥3,500.

The food at Craft Beer Market Awajicho is more towards your standard Italian pizzas and pasta, though the spicy chips we plumped for were more curry-like than actual spicy chili chips.

Is it really necessary to review each and every Craft Beer Market?

Thanks for the comment Jake.
As stated in this review:
“Without wanting to rehash much of the other reviews, it doesn’t differ too much from the other branches so this is going to be a much shorter review as I feel we’ve covered enough about them in other reviews.”

Some of them have different deals on or have some different facilities, but the reviews are kept to a minimum for them unless something special stands out. We feel that they should be reviewed so their details can be found but in not so much detail compared to other bars.
