Oh! La! Ho Biere de Raiden Fuyu Shikomi Porter is the winter edition to the Biere de Rydeen range by Oh! La! Ho Beer, available from early December until stocks last. There is a lot of mystery behind the Oh! La! Ho Biere de Raiden Fuyu Shikomi Porter recipe though it’s based on the traditional style from Britain and comes in at 5%. We’ve seen it on tap at iBrew in Yurakucho a few times, but it’s usually only available in cans only.

Same can design as the other beers in the Biere De Raiden series, just look for the big sticker that says 冬.

Oh! La! Ho Biere de Raiden Fuyu Shikomi Porter Porter Aroma and Taste

Excuse the dent in the can, the delivery guy dropped the case, causing one of our bottles to smash and our can of Oh! La! Ho Biere de Raiden Fuyu Shikomi Porter to have a massive dent in it, though it didn’t affect the taste nor the pour. There was a large amount of an off-white creamy head to it with a dark brown body that appeared black in our romantic lightning. Oh! La! Ho Biere de Raiden Fuyu Shikomi Porter had a strong aroma of roasted coffee beans and chocolate with a wee smidge of smokiness to it.

Those familiar coffee and chocolate notes were reassuring that Oh! La! Ho Biere de Raiden Fuyu Shikomi Porter was a porter done good. Yet it’s the smooth creaminess that is the winner in this beer as the flavours are so well-balanced that it feels like Willy Wonka’s bubblegum meals as you are treated to so many different ones that last mere seconds but last on the palate. Oh! La! Ho Biere de Raiden Fuyu Shikomi Porter finished off with a light bitter chocolate edge that rounded off the beer well.

Oh! La! Ho Biere de Raiden Fuyu Shikomi Porter One Line Review

Oh! La! Ho Biere de Raiden Fuyu Shikomi Porter is an extremely good Porter from Oh! La! Ho Beer and it’s a shame that it isn’t sold all year round.

Dropped the case? Yikes! Which beer failed to survive the incident?
