Open Air Alternate Realities : Appearance

Open Air Alternate poured out an orange gold colour with a medium amount of frothy head, though that faded fast to a few bubbles on top.

Open Air Alternate Realities : Aroma

Began with an lemon and orange aroma, with some light dank notes, but not as much as an old school West Coast IPA. A nice twist on a pilsner though the malts came through swiftly with some caramel tones. A touch of yeast funk was present in the backbone as it warmed up.

Open Air Alternate Realities : Taste

If you’re used to European Pilsners, then Open Air Alternate packs a punch. Definite bitter notes in the front, with some citrus flavours lingering in the back. A touch of malty caramel was present throughout drinking, though it was the hops on show for sure with the bitter, citrus flavours going on throughout. Sharp, dry aftertaste in the back, with a touch of dankness just lying there for those willing to let this warm up.

Open Air Alternate Realities : The Bottom Line

I was unsure of Open Air Alternate at first, but it works well and I’d drink it again.
