Grandline Crypto Beer #02 is a 7.5% West Coast IPA from Grandline Brewing, based in Yokosuka, Kanagawa. It’s part of their bottled and draught lineup, and is also part of Grandline Brewing’s regular lineup. With this having #02 on the end of its name, it’s going to see a few iterations over the years; however, this version is brewed using US Amarillo and Mosaic hops, alongside some tea leaf in the form of the adjuncts.

Dark golden orange colour with a vibrant white head that collapsed leaving streaks and clumps down the side of the glass. Slight chill haze to the beer that clears up as it warms.
Grandline Crypto Beer #02 : Aroma
Old school dank caramel notes – a beer steeped in tradition and not trying to break the mould. Thick resinous pine notes pervade throughout, with a touch of citrus coming though. Malts bring a smidgen of sweetness.

Dank and bitter like the traditional West Coast IPAs from the 2000s. Resinous notes throughout drinking, with a solid bitterness from start to finish. Light malt flavour of caramel at the end with a touch of alcohol heat.
