Our Store : The Bottom Line
Though I wasn’t at Our Store for very long, I did like this place a lot, with its laid back vibe, chilled music, and a decent selection of beer – both on tap and in cans. I’ll definitely be popping in again when I’m in the Hiroshima area – though when that will be is unknown. The whole place is non-smoking and has both a standing area where you can stand and chat with other drinkers, and a small seating area at the back of the shop. There is also some free WiFi that you can connect to, but if you do decide to drink in store, there’s a ¥100 charge for any can or bottle.
Our Store : Background
I came across Our Store some time ago as I was trying to find some beers to buy online. At the time, I didn’t know they had a physical presence, so I was happy to come across this place when I was walking back to Hiroshima station – I had been drinking before and I wasn’t about to ride my bike – especially as I don’t know where I am. The store opened in November 2022 and is located in the Naka ward of Hiroshima city, with it being less than a five minute walk from Ebisucho on the Hiroshima Tram line.
Though the name is called Our Store, with the implication of it being a store for anyone, the Japanese name uses the word “awa”, with a similar pronunciation to “our”. However, “awa” is the head of a beer, and the implication from this is that every day is filled with bubbles – so every day, you should be drinking beer. Who am I to disagree with this?
Our Store : Atmosphere & Interior
As you enter Our Store, you’re greeted by a large table to the left, and a lower table in front of you, that makes up the main standing area of the bar. There is space for around 10 table combined at the tables, though you will be rubbing shoulders with those around you, so be prepared to chat. There’s a smaller bar counter at the back, with seating for four people, and also a couple of tables at the back of the store though there is no seating outside the bar. There is some free WiFi and the whole place is non-smoking and they also have no table charge.
Inside also felt very relaxed and chilled out, with a laid back vibe that was provided by some interesting decor of random plants and goods for sale, such as vintage tshirts. Along with the vintage tshirts, there was some late 70’s and 80’s rock music playing – not too loud to drown out conversation but loud enough to be heard.
Our Store : Beer & Tap Information
On the day I went to Our Store, there was a Gogoshima Brewery tap takeover – something I didn’t know about, but there are still usually five taps of craft beer on at the bar. The beers come in two sizes : 220 ml from ¥750 and 350 ml from ¥880. There wasn’t any option for beer flights, happy hour, or any all-you-can-drink-plan.
At the side of the bar are four fridges of craft beer that can be bought to drink in, at a flat fee of ¥100 per drink, regardless of the size, or you can get them to takeaway, as a few people did. The beers lent heavily towards Japanese breweries from the local area, though you could find some from further afield.

I didn’t notice any food besides some small snacks in the fridges, and also some nibbles. There are a couple of sandwich options if you’re so inclined, though the menus were all in Japanese outside of the beer names, so you may need someone to help you. All of the prices include tax too.
