Vertere Tachikawa Taproom (Tachikawa / Tokyo)

Vertere Tachikawa Taproom : The Bottom Line

Oku-tama is a bit far for some people, so Vertere Tachikawa Taproom is a welcome addition from Vertere. With it being a bit closer to home, it’s far more accessible with similar prices to the places in Oku-tama shop. There’s no food on offer here, but you are welcome to bring your own in, just take the rubbish with you. There is no table charge and no smoking here, but it’s a cashless bar, so you will need a credit card or some form of electronic money with you. Finally, you can bring your dog here, though you have to sit outside.

Vertere Tachikawa Taproom Inside

Vertere Tachikawa Taproom : Background

Vertere Tachikawa Taproom, as the name suggests, is a taproom for the Vertere brand of beer, with the branch having opened in May 2025. It’s the third taproom from them, with their shop in Oku-tama being the first, and the Eifuku taproom being the second. The bar is located less than a 10 minute walk from Tachikawa station, located on the JR Chuo line and also Nambu line, so it’s immediately more accesible than the original branch.

Vertere Tachikawa Taproom : Atmosphere & Interior

As you approach Vertere Tachikawa Taproom, the amount of white that has been used to decorate the bar – inside and out – is astounding. It almost appears to be clinical with the amount of white going around. Saying that, it does make the wood and floor pop out some more – and that’s a good thing because I can image a few people tripping up on that step as you come into the bar.

On the other hand, Vertere Tachikawa Taproom is nice and airy inside, with the amount of windows letting a lot of sunshine in. There is space for around 16 people inside at various table combinations, and there are some tables outside that can also be used for drinkers. The whole place is non-smoking and has no table charge. Moreover, the bar is dog friendly, so you can bring your pet along and enjoy some cold beers.

Vertere Tachikawa Taproom : Beer & Tap Information

There are 20 taps of Vertere beer on here – there were no guest beers on at the time of writing. There’s a good range of styles on too – with saisons, blondes, pale ales, and IPAs on tap. The beers come in three sizes : one-size (250 ml) from ¥1,100, regular (330 ml) from ¥900, and large (475 ml) from ¥1,200. There is no option for a beer flight, nor is there a happy hour on offer at Vertere Tachikawa Taproom either.

Finally, there are three fridges where you can get a wide variety of cans to takeaway – and if you spend too much, they can do delivery to your house. There was no signage about a corkage fee for drinking in-store mind – neither on the fridges or on the menus around the bar.

Vertere Tachikawa Taproom : Food & Menu Information

There isn’t any food. You are welcome to bring your own food in though but make sure you take the rubbish with you. The menus have enough English on them to order some beers from, though they do lack descriptions. All of the prices include tax too.

One major thing to note is that this place doesn’t not accept cash payment. Make sure you bring a credit card or have some form of electronic payment, else you will not be able to buy anything.
