Forest Brewing Sunset IPA, also known as Sekiyou IPA, is a 7% American IPA from Forest Brewing, based in Kawasaki, Miyagi. It’s part of their regular lineup and is available in both cans and on draught. At the time of writing, not much else is know about this beer as Forest Brewing haven’t released any details about the malt or hop bill for this beer.

Forest Brewing Sunset IPA : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Forest Brewing Sunset IPA poured out a slightly hazy dark golden amber colour with a thick white head of medium to large bubbles that popped away, leaving a thin layer on top.
In terms of aroma, Forest Brewing Sunset IPA wasn’t that inviting really, with a musty, oxidised nose, with a slight hinty of resinous undertones. As it warmed up, the mustiness increased, yet ironically, so did the citrus notes for the beers. A confusing one at best in the nose.
The body didn’t make things any better either, yet this time around, a buttery oxidised note pervaded throughout drinking. Some citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon shone through but there was so much confusion in the body of Forest Brewing Sunset IPA that I didn’t know if it was a good beer gone bad, or a bad beer with some good notes.

Maybe a duff can, but I wouldn’t recommend this.
