Let’s Beer Works Dawn! Dawn! Dawn! : Aroma & Taste
This is the second time for me to drink Let’s Beer Works Dawn! Dawn! Dawn! as I liked the draught version of it so much at Wedge Bottle Shop & Pizza that I decided to pick up a can to drink at home. And I am glad that I did as the canned version was spot on as to the draught version.
Let’s Beer Works Dawn! Dawn! Dawn! poured out a dark reddish brown colour with a thin amount of slightly off-white tan head on top that faded to a few bubbles around the edge of the glass. The main aroma to come off the beer at first was a piney resinous aroma, which then lent into a slight caramel sweetness. There was also some mild spicy pepperiness to the beer, though it didn’t dominate. Once Let’s Beer Works Dawn! Dawn! Dawn! had warmed up, there was some stone fruits that came through – a little bit of peach and apricot – though it was faint.
The body to Let’s Beer Works Dawn! Dawn! Dawn! started off with a swift bitterness that was followed up with the main flavour of a pine resinous one. There was a decent amount of sweetness to the beer – not enough to be cloying but enough to balance out the pine flavour, and the sweetness was supported by a touch of peach and apricot that lingered for longer than in the nose.
Let’s Beer Works Dawn! Dawn! Dawn! : The Bottom Line
Let’s Beer Works Dawn! Dawn! Dawn! suffers from sticker shock – it’s a lot of money for a new brewery and their beer but it’s good. Definitely worth getting on tap if you can.
