Tokyo Aleworks Yoyogi Lazy Hazy IPA Aroma and Taste

Tokyo Aleworks Yoyogi Lazy Hazy IPA poured out a hazy, bright golden colour with a medium amount of white head on top that faded to leave some streaks around the side of the glass. Tokyo Aleworks Yoyogi Lazy Hazy IPA had a strong fruity aroma, with passion fruit, mango, oranges, and some pineapple coming through. In terms of sweetness from the malts, there was a light dusting of honey and pilsner coming along once Tokyo Aleworks Yoyogi Lazy Hazy IPA had warmed up, but it was all about the hops and they were nicely balanced out with the malts.

In spite Tokyo Aleworks Yoyogi Lazy Hazy IPA being an IPA, there was negligible bitterness going on from start to finish. There was though, a lot of fruitiness in the beer, with a similar tropical profile to the nose found in the body. There was passion fruit and mango, that come through the most, with the orange and pineapple flavours noticeable and lingering in the background. Tokyo Aleworks Yoyogi Lazy Hazy IPA did have a much thicker mouthfeel than compared with a fair number of domestically brewed NE-IPAs, that helped to support the tropical flavours through and through. The resulting aftertaste was a soft, tropical juice-like one though it didn’t last long.

Tokyo Aleworks Yoyogi Lazy Hazy IPA The Bottom Line

Tokyo Aleworks Yoyogi Lazy Hazy IPA was a smashing beer, and a good surprise.
