Y Market Paradise Ginga is a 5.5% American IPA from Y Market Brewing, based in Nagoya, in Aichi, Japan. It’s part of their regular lineup and can be found in both cans and on tap. Y Market Paradise Ginga is brewed using imported Galaxy and Simcoe hops from the USA. The name “Paradise Ginga” stems from the amount of Galaxy hops, which is ginga in Japanese, used in making this beer.
Y Market Paradise Ginga Aroma and Taste
Y Market Paradise Ginga poured out a dark orange colour with a slight amount of fluffy white head on top that faded fast. The beer had a dank lemony nose to it, but that was pretty much all going on in terms of hops. Y Market Paradise Ginga had a subtle hint of caramel sweetness going on, but that was faint when the beer had warmed up.
The body had a slight initial bitterness to it, but then that faded fast, which was what the hops were like too. The lemon and dankness was nice, but it faded too fast to really be appreciated. It isn’t a bad beer, but for being named galaxy, I was expecting something long lasting and powerful but ended up with something like a shooting star.
Y Market Paradise Ginga The Bottom Line
Y Market Paradise Ginga was kind of disappointing after all the nice beers we’ve had from Y Market Brewing
