Daisen G Pilsner is a Czech-style pilsner from Kumezakura Daisen Brewery in Tottori, a new area for BeerTengoku to explore. Like most of the beers from Daisen G, the Daisen G Pilsner is an award-winning beer that has won gold, silver, and bronze at the International Beer Cup.
Daisen G Pilsner Aroma and Taste
Daisen G Pilsner has the body of a standard pilsner; a hazy-straw colour that cleared up nicely once settled. However, there wasn’t any hoppy aroma coming off of the beer yet there were some grassy notes with a slight yeastiness. These were present underneath the whisper thin head that lasted mere seconds.
Drinking Daisen G Pilsner should be served cold. Why’s that? Well who wants warm beer for starters? Drinking it cold added a level of crispness to the dry taste that wasn’t present when it warmed up. The yeast taste carried on through to the taste with a succinct maltiness to it as well. It finishes off a little on the bitter side with a smucker of fruit to it.
Daisen G Pilsner One-line Review
Daisen G Pilsner is a standard Czech pilsner but the flavours are more subtle than expected.
