Susukino Brewing Information

Background

Susukino Brewing is a brewery located in the Susukino area of Sapporo, Hokkaido. The brewery began in 2021, during COVID, when the local area was struggling to survive, due to the down turn in tourists visiting Sapporo. Tourism brings in an extra $450 million to the area, though not all of that goes towards beer and bars.

As a result, a group of local bar owners came together to look at how to make a company that can help Susukino and the area to grow and improve together. Due to the popularity of the brewery, Susukino Brewing closed down their taproom at the brewery in June 2024; however, they still operate in the area.
