Beer Again Tap Truck IPA : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Beer Again Tap Truck IPA poured out a hazy golden straw colour with a plump white head on top, that left some thick rings around the edge of the glass. It consisted of some medium and large sized bubbles, with some of them lingering on throughout drinking.
Yet again, I’m going to extol the virtue of how good Beer Again Brewing are making their beers smell. Beer Again Tap Truck IPA had a wonderful hop forward nose of tropical notes – mango and lycee, with some white wine notes lingering underneath it all. As it warmed up, a light spicy note was present from the rye malt, it was pretty much unmistakeable really, yet it brought the nose of the beer altogether.
And the taste? Brilliant. I’d love to stop here really and just grab another bottle. It wasn’t so much as a truck to the face, but more a case of hop forward flavours just driving over the taste buds in a smooth, peaceful manner. The tropical touch, the whisper of white wine grapes, and a piquant pepperiness just all come together and make this a delightful beer to drink. I wanted more of it but with it being light bodied, it was gone far too quickly.
