West Coast Now You Don’t is a 7% West Coast IPA from West Coast Brewing based in Mochimune, Shizuoka. It’s part of their canned and draught lineup, though like the majority of their beers, who knows when their release schedule for this beer is? Though it is the third time that this beer has been released according to West Coast Brewing. It’s the sister effort West Coast Now You See Me and this one uses the same hops as that beer, with Cashmere, Mosaic, and Motueka being used.

West Coast Now You Don’t : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
West Coast Now You Don’t poured out a clear golden colour with just a faint amount of haze going on – so it’s a modern West Coast IPA. The head was plump and white though it faded faster than my bank account on a Friday night.
In terms of aroma, this is not your classic West Coast IPA, so for those wanting something dank and resinous, you won’t be seeing it in this beer. The aroma was mostly tropical, with large amounts of mango and pineapple permeating through, with just a smidgen of citrus orange lying underneath it all. The malt aroma was faint, yet present only when the beer had warmed up somewhat.
The body began with a swift bitterness that faded, though lingered throughout drinking. Yet again, the tropical notes were the major star of the beer – lashings of mango and pineapple dominating the profile – with just an underlying, supporting flavour of orange. There was also some light malt sweetness present and just the faintest of faint resinous notes as West Coast Now You Don’t warmed up. Not enough to put it in the classic West Coast category mind.
