Craft Beer Supporters : Background

You wait for one online craft beer shop to pop up, but then you come across a run of places, each offering something unique to entice people to part with their cash. Craft Beer Supporters’ unique approach to selling beer is rather than offering up individual bottles and cans for sale from breweries across the country, they instead source sets of beers direct from the breweries and then sell them on to customers.

Craft Beer Supporters is part of a group of sites that offer up various products for sale, with Japanese nihonshu, shochu, and also some food among their offerings. They are also trying to line up with Sustainable Development Goals to help reduce waste alongside NGOs.

At the time of writing, Craft Beer Supporters has 31 breweries on the books, less than 10% of the total number of craft beer breweries in Japan, but they are growing. However, they do have 25 prefectures represented on their books, which is over half the number of prefectures in Japan, and they are actively sourcing out more and more.
