Sanriku Dateotoko IPA : Appearance

Poured out a muddy orange brown colour with a thin amount of head on top that faded to a few bubbles and left some bits of head on the side of the glass.

Sanriku Dateotoko IPA : Aroma

Musty aroma – either oxidised or old hops used – with some hints of classic American IPA style. Slight dankness to the beer, with some hints of citrus, but overall smelt old.

Sanriku Dateotoko IPA : Taste

Light bitterness but the musty notes pervade through drinking. The hops were either oxidised or old as this beer is a struggle to get through.

Sanriku Dateotoko IPA : The Bottom Line

This isn’t the American IPA that you want to drink at the end of the day. A mess of a beer but still slightly drinkable if you’re thirsty and the beer is cold.
