Humans Amazonia : Aroma & Taste
Humans Amazonia poured out a rather dull hazy golden orange colour with just a smidgen of white head though it did leave some lacing down the side of the glass. The aroma was a mixture of light grape along with some citrus – the usual lemon and grapefruit it seems – with just a touch of light pine aroma for good measure. The oats brought a light creaminess to the nose, which came with a small amount of malt sweetness.
While the aroma was rather gentle on the nose, it was in the body that there was kick. Humans Amazonia began with a noticeable bitterness to it that was a touch abrasive for my liking – it wasn’t a chloride burn taste, but it did prick up my taste buds somewhat. The citrus and pine flavours did manage to break up that feeling, with a touch of grape coming through as Humans Amazonia warmed up. The body though was dry and rather light, which if it hadn’t been for that abrasive flavour, would have been well balanced.
Humans Amazonia : The Bottom Line
Humans Amazonia could do with some tweaking to get the balance right but shows promise.
