Yorocco Kompas : Aroma & Taste

Yorocco Kompas poured out a hazy dark golden colour with a thin amount of white head on top that faded to a few bubbles around the side. The aroma was a combination yeasty phenols of fruit and then some slight tartness in the nose. As Yorocco Kompas warmed up, there was just a touch of light malt sweetness, but it remained rather dry in the nose and the malts lacked staying power.

With Yorocco Kompas being a fruited saison, the body was pretty much spot on for that description – there was a plum tartness from the fruit and the body had a light dry sweetness from the malts, along with some of the phenolic flavour associated with the yeast. It wasn’t plasticky but instead, there was a light peachiness to the body. Once Yorocco Kompas had warmed up, there was just a light touch of noble hop quality to it.

Yorocco Kompas : The Bottom Line

Yorocco Kompas was a nice little surprise from both Yorocco and Minoh Beer.
