Nomcraft Double Jump : Aroma & Taste
Nomcraft Double Jump poured out a slight hazy dark golden straw colour with just a meagre amount of white head, but that was deliberate as I wanted to see how much beer I could get into the glass. I know I could have just used some water in there instead, but where is the fun in that? The aroma was all hops with a strong citrus nose of grapefruit and lemon that was followed by a light dank and resinous aroma.
The body started off with a swift bitter punch to the palate, though it didn’t last long as a citrus flavour burst through – more grapefruit and lemon of course. There was also the dankness that was in the nose present, though there was a familiar yeast flavour in the background that rides through most of the Nomcraft Brewing efforts – perhaps a deliberate flavour? The citrus flavours lingered the longest though, right into the aftertaste with the lemon being the strongest.
Nomcraft Double Jump : The Bottom Line
Nomcraft Double Jump is a solid double IPA – not going to set the world on fire but it’s nice nonetheless.
