Sankt Gallen Brewery, located in Atsugi, West Kanagawa, has been brewing beers since 2001. They have an online store, which is cheaper than buying their beers from stores. Sankt Gallen Brewery were also the first brewery to make a stout using coffee beans that had been excreted by elephant. Called “うん、この黒” or “un, kono kuro”, which translates into “Yes, this is black” or “Poo, black”, even though it went on sale 1st April 2013, it was not an April Fool’s joke.

Sankt Gallen Brewery’s special range:
- Sankt Gallen Annin Chocolate Stout – a 6.5% spiced beer brewed using 100kgs of fresh apricot kernels, known as “annin” in Japanese.
- Sankt Gallen Apple Cinnamon Ale – Winter only beer made using Nagano apples;
- Sankt Gallen Banana Chocolate Stout – a 7% stout brewed using over 300kg of fresh imported bananas during the second fermentation stages along with some lactose too.
- Sankt Gallen El Diablo – a 10% barley wine that is released annually around the middle of November.
- Sankt Gallen El Angel – a 10% wheat wine that is released annually around the middle of November;
- Sankt Gallen Fruit Tart Ale – a 5% spice beer brewed using apples, cinnamon, ginger, and ichijuku, or Japanese figs.
- Sankt Gallen Golden Haze IPA – a 6.5% IPA which uses three times as many hops at a much later addition to impart the fruity flavours into the beer with a ratio of 2 : 39
- Sankt Gallen Imperial Chocolate Stout – Award winning chocolate stout brewed yearly for Valentine’s day;
- Sankt Gallen Kansha no Name Gold / Kogane – a 5% American pale ale that is brewed for Fathers’ day, and comes in 1.8L sake-sized bottles too.
- Sankt Gallen Kansha no Name Black / Kuro – a 5% stout that is brewed for Fathers’ day, and comes in 1.8L sake-sized bottles too.
- Sankt Gallen Kitakamakura no Megumi – a 5% amber ale that is brewed “to show off the hardness of Kamakura’s water”
- Sankt Gallen Kokuto Sweet Stout – A stout made using black sugar from Okinawa;
- Sankt Gallen Mango IPA – a 6% fruit beer brewed with 1.3 times the amount of malt and 6.75 times the amount of hops that usually go into making that beer, and also freshly peeled mango too.
- Sankt Gallen Orange Chocolate Stout – A sweet stout infused with orange peel.
- Sankt Gallen Pineapple Ale – Another fruit beer made using whole pineapples;
- Sankt Gallen Sakura – a 5% spring seasonal spiced / fruit beer that uses locally sourced sakura, or cherry blossoms, in the fermentation process.
- Sankt Gallen Sesame Chocolate Stout – a 6.5% spiced stout where one batch of beer used over 200kg of the sesame seeds.
- Sankt Gallen Shonan Gold (Sweet Orange ale) – A fruit beer made using local oranges;
- Sankt Gallen Smoked Chocolate Stout – A smoked stout with chocolate malts.
- Sankt Gallen Sweet Vanilla Stout – A stout with lashings of vanilla;
