Vacan Craft 04 is a 5.5% hazy IPA from Utsui Brewery, based in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi. It’s part of their regular lineup, and can be found in both bottles and on draught. This beer is brewed using Citra, Cryo Mosaic, and Cryo Simcoe hops.

Vacan Craft 04 : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Vacan Craft 04 poured out a light hazy golden yellow colour with a medium amount of white head on top that left some streaks down the edge of the glass during drinking.
Why oh why did I not drink Vacan Craft 04 first before that awful Vacan Craft X. Vacan Craft 04 had a wonderful aroma of citrus and tropical notes present, with them growing as the beer warmed up. Some lemon and orange were noted in terms of citrus while there was a touch of pineapple also present. The malts brought a balanced sweetness to proceedings and helped support the hoppiness.
The body had a smooth bitterness throughout drinking, with the hoppy flavours being the standout point to this beer. The citrus and tropical notes interplayed each other well, with neither really dominating over the other. The flavours lingered throughout drinking and the subtle sweetness from the malts helped bring Vacan Craft 04 all together.
