Forest Brewing Starry Sky Weizen is a 5.5% hefeweizen from Forest Brewing, based in Kawasaki, Miyagi. It’s part of their regular lineup and is available both in cans and on draught. As with every other beer we’ve had from Forest Brewing, there’s barely any information available for it besides it was made with a grain bill of 50% barley and 50% wheat.

Forest Brewing Starry Sky Weizen : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Wowzers – this beer looked and smelt the business. Forest Brewing Starry Sky Weizen poured out a cloudy straw colour with a thick, plump white head on top, that left rings around the edge of the glass as the beer went down.
The aroma was bang on for style, with it being thick and luscious as well. The aroma off the beer had a big nose of banana and clove going on, with an underlying wheaty body to the nose. It really smelt fantastic during drinking, and as it warmed up, there were no off aromas eminating from the beer.
And it didn’t stop there. During drinking, this beer had a wonderful mouthfeel – thick and sticky with lots of flavour going on. The banana and clove flavours screamed through with a wheaty flavour underpinning it all. Forest Brewing Starry Sky Weizen drank perfectly from start to finish with the only downside being that I had got just the one can of it.

The best beer from Forest Brewing and a very well made weizen. Worth finding it and trying it.
