Great Dane American Pale Ale 007 : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Great Dane American Pale Ale 007 poured out a lot darker than I expected for a modern American pale ale – I was honestly expecting something vibrant and golden from the can. It be greeted by this, well I was disappointed.
The aroma though kind of made up for the disappointment, with a light, resinous note from the start, which was followed up by a mixing of grapefruit and lemon, alongside some caramel malt notes. It’s more of an old-school American pale ale with some heavy West Coast influence.
That West Coast influence found its way into the body of the beer, with a strong bitterness from the start, which was followed up by the resinous and citrus notes from the hops. It was a smooth drinking beer, with just a modicum of caramel sweetness to balance against the hops.
Great Dane American Pale Ale 007 : The Bottom Line
If you’re looking for something modern then Great Dane American Pale Ale 007 isn’t going to tick your boxes. Unashamedly old-school in flavour.
