Y Market Hysteric IPA is a 7% American IPA from Y Market Brewing, based in Nagoya, in Aichi, Japan. It’s part of their regular lineup and can be found in both cans and on tap across Japan. Y Market Hysteric IPA is brewed using US Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, and Chinook as well as NZ Motueka hops.
Y Market Hysteric IPA Aroma and Taste
Y Market Hysteric IPA poured out a slight hazy golden straw colour with a frothy white head on top that faded fast to a slightly oily slick on top that was surrounded by a few bubbles too. The beer had a distinct grapefruit, lemon, and passion fruit nose to it with some slight notes of pilsner malt too. Once Y Market Hysteric IPA had warmed up, it also had a subtle piney aroma to it though the tropical citrus fruits were more potent.
The initial bitterness to Y Market Hysteric IPA was neither overpowering nor lingering, with it fading as fast as it appeared. The variety of fruits on offer came in the form of grapefruit, lemon, and passion fruits, just like in the nose, but the dankness was more pronounced in the body. The fruitiness to Y Market Hysteric IPA was more dominant than the malts on offer, with them only bringing a slight sweetness to the beer that was noticeable once it had warmed up. Y Market Hysteric IPA had a fruity aftertaste that was nigh on the same as the first flavours that came though, but the flavours did not linger for long on the palate.
Y Market Hysteric IPA The Bottom Line
Y Market Hysteric IPA is a decent little American IPA – one I would be happy to drink more of.

I agree. A very nice beer. The design of the can has changed, it also looks good. And tastes good.
Feel free to send us some cans of the new designs for pics, please. 😀
