Matsumoto Brewery is a craft beer brewery based in Matsumoto, in Nagano, Japan. The company was founded in 2016, with them initially brewing on other breweries’ system; however, Matsumoto Brewery acquired a brewing license in 2018, and since then, have also hired an American, Rob Lobreglio from Great Dane Brewing Company, as a consultant to help them decide on beers and recipes. Matsumoto Brewery also runs a few bars in the Matsumoto area as well.

The following are some of Matsumoto Brewery’s beers that we’ve had. The list will expanded as we drink more of them.
- Matsumoto Session IPA – A 5% session IPA though the hops are the time of writing are unknown.
- Matsumoto Artisanal Saison – A 5% saison that is brewed with Far Yeast Brewing.
- Matsumoto Traditional Bitter – A 4% British bitter brewed to a traditional British recipe.
- Matsumoto Castle Stout – A 6.5% stout that takes its name, and colour, from Matsumoto castle, which has stood in the area over 400 years.
