Hitachino Nest White Ale by Kiuchi Brewery

Hitachino Nest White Ale is considered to be the flagship beer of the Hitachino range and has won gold medals at several beer competitions in both the U.K. and the U.S. Hitachino Nest White Ale is brewed in a similar manner to Belgian wheat beer with plenty of additional ingredients such as coriander, orange peel, and nutmeg.

Hitachino Nest White AleHitachino Nest White Ale Aroma and Taste

Hitachino Nest White Ale pours foamy, as you’d expect from a Belgian-type beer. The nose is orange and coriander; however, I couldn’t detect any nutmeg. The taste is strongly tart and citrusy, with a slight wheat undertone. The flavour mellows out towards the end and becomes more lemony, which was interesting. It’s not as sweet or sugary as other Belgian whites.

Hitachino Nest White Ale One-Line Review

I love Belgian white ales, and hot summer days are perfect for them. Hitachino Nest White Ale is light, fruity and eminently drinkable. Grab it!
