Nobody The Leftfield is a 6% DDH IPA from Nobody Brewing, the second brewery from Teenage Brewing, based in Tokigawa, Saitama. It’s part of their canned and draught lineup, with this being brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and Idaho 7 hops.

Nobody The Leftfield : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Nobody The Leftfield poured out a hazy golden yellow colour with a large, frothy white head on top. That head dissipated somewhat before drinking; however, it did remain around during drinking, with some thick white streaks down the side of the glass.
The initial aroma was combination of clean citrus notes of grapefruit, lemon, and orange, combined with a tropical bouquet of mango and pineapple. However, after giving the beer some time to warm up, a clear dank and pine aroma cut through the citrus and tropical notes, making this beer seem more like a cross between a classic American IPA with classic West Coast IPA notes too. There was a hint of malt sweetness present too in the back of the beer, but it was the hops from start to finish which made this beer.
During drinking, Nobody The Leftfield had an underlying bitterness to it, though it was smoother than I expected from the nose. The flavours in the body were more of the same as the nose – citrus and tropical notes – which wasn’t a bad thing; however, the dank flavours only really came through in the end of the beer, which was a shame considering how well the beer smelt as it warmed up. There was a touch of malt sweetness to bring it all together, thought the dryness of the body meant the sweetness was fast and fleeting.

There’s certainly some rhythm with the citrus and tropical notes in the beer, though the stealthy aspect of the dank and pine notes was unfortunately not as strong as I had hoped.
