Fetish Club The New World : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Fetish Club The New World poured out a slightly hazy golden colour with a thick white head on top that lingered on throughout drinking, with some of still being present in spite of the beer having been drunk.
In terms of aroma, the beer was very much hop forward, with a clean citrus and tropical nose coming through – think grapefruit and lemon alongside some mango and pineapple and you would be on the right path. For some reason, part of was kind of hoping for a layer of dankness, some of that sticky bud aroma, but Fetish Club The New World never really developed anything akin to that. There was a modicum of malt sweetness to the beer, but that sweetness didn’t develop into anything potent or cloying, rather it was just a supporting profile to the aroma of the beer.
The body began with a well-rounded bitterness that was smooth without it being overpowering; however, it did fade quite fast from the palate, leaving behind the hoppy flavours instead. Those hoppy flavours were more of the same as was in the nose – citrus and tropical notes – and were supported by light-medium body. The flavours were well-balanced, though the body could have been a bit thicker as the flavours didn’t really linger on in the palate.
Fetish Club The New World : The Bottom Line
Was I relaxed after drinking this beer because of the CBD or because of the alcohol? It’s hard to know really but Fetish Club The New World is a decent IPA nonetheless.
