Background
Mahowbrew, sometimes styled as Mahow Brew, is a brewery located in the Tsuboya area of Naha city, in Okinawa. The brewery opened in August 2024, with the area its located in being better known for being the hometown of Okinawan pottery (Yachimun) rather than craft beer. Mahowbrew began crowdfunding in October 2023, with the aim of gaining enough funds to renovate the shop Witch’s to a fully fledged brewpub.
Their aim is todeliver “Delicious and fun beer that makes you want to come to Okinawa” from Okinawa, one of the leading tourist destinations in Japan, to the whole country. With this in mind, Mahowbrew also wants to play a part in Okinawa’s tourism industry and develop beer that utilizes the local climate and ingredients so that it will become a new specialty product.

- Mahowbrew Three-eyed Raven – An 8.5% Baltic Porter brewed with Bobek and Hallertauer Mittelfrueh hops.
- Mahowbrew Depths of Muspelheim – A 7% wee heavy that is brewed with East Kent Golding hops and Peated Smoked malt.
- Mahowbrew Doomsday Pythoness – A 9% Triple IPA that is brewed with four different kinds of European hops : Bobek, Spalter, Styrian Wolf, and Triskel.
