Sake Max : Background
It was on BlueSky, the alternative to Twitter, that I came across Sake Max thanks to Casey and let me tell you, I almost jumped on a train until I found out that the shop is in Himi, Toyama. So a slightly off the beaten track place for those who live nowhere near here. However, it’s well worth noting that you can also order online, though the process is a little bit more complicated than normal.
Sake Max prides itself in having over 100 different craft beers in stock, putting it up there as having one of the biggest range of beers in stock in Japan. The prices are relatively good, considering where the store is located and also how far the beers have to come to get here.
In terms of ordering online, it’s a case of going onto their Instagram page (listed below) and then sending them an email with what you want. Not the best way to go about it, but if you ask nicely, then you can get a list of what they have in stock sent to you, with payment being cash on delivery.
