Nami no Oto Big Wednesday : Background
Nami no Oto Big Wednesday is a 6.5% American IPA from Nami no Oto Brewing, based in Awaji, in Hyogo, Japan. It’s part of their canned and draught line-up, though its availability is unknown at the time of writing. Nami no Oto Big Wednesday is focussed on Onokoroshizukushio, a kind of sea salt, which is produced in Goshiki Beach on Awaji Island. In terms of hops, all I could find is that Nami no Oto Big Wednesday uses double dry hopping.

Nami no Oto Big Wednesday : Appearance
Hazy muddy orange colour with a large amount of fluffy white head. The head collapsed on itself, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on top.
Nami no Oto Big Wednesday : Aroma
Citrus notes of lemon and lime, with a touch of grapefruit present. Dry nose with a low level of sweetness present. Light tropical notes as the beer warms up, some mango and pineapple present.
Nami no Oto Big Wednesday : Taste
Light and dry body – almost sucking out the moisture in my cheeks. Hops brought a citrus and tropical base to the beer, but not as bitter as I thought. Though salt has gone into making this beer, it’s not a base flavour, with it barely being present in the base. Sweetness from the malts is more pronounced here, with a lingering sweetness into the aftertaste.
Nami no Oto Big Wednesday : The Bottom Line
Nami no Oto Big Wednesday is a drinkable beer that is thirst quenching and dry.
