Vertere Lebbeck : Appearance

Light golden honey colour with a thin layer of bubbles on top that faded fast to a few bubbles just around the rim of the glass. Slight haze to the beer though not sure if it was a chill haze or deliberate from the beer.

Vertere Lebbeck : Aroma

Light citrus aroma of grapefruit and orange, with a touch of tropical fruits of mango and pineapple as the beer warms up. Balanced with a light to medium sweetness that lies more towards the pilsner side, with a touch of caramel noted as it warms.

Vertere Lebbeck : Taste

Medium to strong bitterness from the first sip, though that fades and allows the hops to come through more. The citrus and tropical notes are balanced with one another, with a medium bodied sweet stickiness present during drinking. Light alcohol heat towards the end of drinking with some residual fruity notes present.

Vertere Lebbeck : The Bottom Line

A solid double IPA that has a good balance of hoppiness and sweetness.
