Yellow Beer Works : Background
Yellow Beer Works is a microbrewery found in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture in 2020. Yellow Beer Works is a brewery that was started by a rice farmer in Fukushima City as a side job in addition to his farm work. The farm was setup in December 2014 and by August 2020, the brewery had received its license to brew beer. Using home-grown barley, hops, rice, vegetables, etc. as some of the raw materials, Yellow Beer Works produces a series of hoppy and juicy IPAs.
In addition, in 2022 the “Yellow Beer Works Bunka-dori Store” in the centre of Fukushima City was opened while in 2023, a new brewery was setup with the aim of expanding production to more canned products to be sold direct to drinkers across Japan and also to improve sales in kegs.
