Totopia Lightphobia : Appearance
Poured out a dull hazy golden orange colour with a thin layer of bubbles on it that popped away and left some streaks down the side of the glass.
Totopia Lightphobia : Aroma
Fruity citrus aroma with grapefruits and lime, lemon and orange on the palate. Some subtle resinous notes in the back as the beer warmed up but more of a moden WC-IPA than the dank resinous ones of old. Light malt sweetness in the back but not enough to detract from the hops.
Totopia Lightphobia : Taste
Medium bitterness that segued into a fruity hoppy flavour – mostly citrus notes akin to the nose. light to medium sweetness in the body with some stickiness present. Lingering light dank notes but it’s mostly citrus flavours in the beer.
Totopia Lightphobia : The Bottom Line
Modern day WC-IPA done well – won’t amaze or surprise but still a good solid beer.
