Sakai Kashi IPL : Aroma & Taste
Sakai Kashi IPL poured out a hazy golden orange colour with a thin layer of white head on top, though that faded to a few bubbles around the side of the glass. That was the only good thing to say about this beer as everything else after that was just terrible. The aroma was of a plastic chemically one, with a strong wet cardboard and peachy aroma that meant Sakai Kashi IPL was either an off beer, or that the beer itself was poorly designed. Sakai Kashi IPL was supposed to have hops in it, it does have some semblance of an IBU according to the brewery, but either they were drowned out by the off flavours, or just contributing to the oxidised flavours.
The body was just as bad and it was a struggle to get halfway through it – should give all beers a fair chance. But Sakai Kashi IPL ended up being a drain pour due to the plethora of off flavours going on in the beer. The plastic oxidised flavours intermingled with just a weird chemically texture on the tongue was not what I expect from an IPL from any brewery.
Sakai Kashi IPL : The Bottom Line
Sakai Kashi IPL has a nice colour but besides that, a drain pour member.
