Two Rabbits Dirty Berty Sunset Lager : A sidenote
Before we jump into our regular programming of Aroma & Taste, let’s just take a look at that can design. So much going on in such a simple image – a WW1 biplane that appears to be a Sopwith Camel, and two rabbits in the seats of the plane, along with an RAF symbol on the side.
Two Rabbits Dirty Berty Sunset Lager : Aroma & Taste
And we return back to our original programming.
Two Rabbits Dirty Berty Sunset Lager poured out a ruby brown colour with a large amount of fluffy, ever so slightly off-white head on top, with flecks of brown amidst the beer. The beer had a very subtle hop aroma with some noble-like quality to it, with a modern twist of citrus lemon being present. However, the main aroma of the beer was the caramel and biscuit quality. It wasn’t cloying or overpowering but you’d have to try very hard not to notice it.
With this being a Vienna lager, I wasn’t expecting a hoppy beer, though it was nice to taste some of the noble flavour along with a smooth lemon flavour. The malts, once again, were the start with a light caramel sweetness punctuated by a biscuit flavour in the beer balancing out against the hops. That’s where Two Rabbits Dirty Berty Sunset Lager remained until the end of drinking – which didn’t last very long as the light body, with the low sweetness was very easy drinking.
Two Rabbits Dirty Berty Sunset Lager : The Bottom Line
Two Rabbits Dirty Berty Sunset Lager is good alternative to the macro German and craft lagers out there.
